CURRENT IMRS AMBASSADORS
I’m a single mom of twin boys. I had a love hate relationship with running. I’ve ran in the past but I stopped because injuries happened while running. I signed up for my first big race with IMRS and I haven’t stopped running even while getting an injury mile 9 during my half in March during the 2 day challenge. I actually did a PR that day while in pain.
Run Irving was my first half and full marathon! I love showing others the joys of running, and I always wear silly outfits on race day.
I’m married with a 17 yr old son. I am a billing supervisor for a local hospital. I am a herbalife distributor and a life insurance agent. I love helping and inspiring others in any way I can. I started my weight loss journey a few years ago.
I currently hold the position of Certified Surgical Technologist/Orthopedic Spine Coordinator, which I have held for 15 years. Teamwork, compassion, and community are all I know. I have run obstacle/mud runs and have found my love for road running again. I began to love road running back in 2017 and have never looked back. Just slowly getting stronger and becoming a better version of a runner for myself, and have been lucky enough to find a community of runners/walkers.
I’ve been running on and off since 2013. I initially started running to lose weight, eventually I found that I love it and it keeps me focused and gives me so much. Striving for goals helps in so many areas of my life. I’ve lost two brothers over the course of my running journey, and running has always been there for me. I’m currently chasing after the original 6 World Majors, and after November I’ll only have the Tokyo marathon remaining. I’m also a huge rundisney fan but love running other races.
I’m a former collegiate track and field athlete who transitioned into long-distance running. I love sharing my journey to motivate people to chase their goals, embrace discipline, and experience the joy of the running community.
Mom, runner, and first-time triathlete in training, passionate about building community and showing others they’re never alone on their journey.
Running is life, and I have been running consistently since 2017. I have run numerous marathons, half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks, including five of the World Marathon Majors. I hope to finish the Majors in the 2025 London Marathon. I'm very approachable, so feel free to say hi! Let's geek out about all things running.
I am the founder of the Lake Cities Run Walk Group & The Heartbeat Connection - Fitness + Community group. As a runner of 40+ years, some say it is my passion. However, I feel my passion is in helping others in their journey in running or fitness in general. I am a Master Trainer and running Coach with over 12 Certifications in various health/fitness areas and over 45 years of experience in the health/fitness industry. I have a STRONG belief that fitness should be affordable/free and available for all. For me, there is no greater joy than seeing that person doing their FIRST race, crossing that finish line and seeing their face as they accept that medal! GLORIOUS! I strive to help people experience that, at every race!
I am a paramedic working for The Colony Fire Department. I got into endurance sports after working the Boston Marathon bombing. I did this by way of triathlons. I have completed many and ran Boston twice. I hope to not only run as past service member during the worst day in the sport. To qualify at Irving Marathon to get back to Boston Marathon.
I was newer to running in 2024, and my 11 year old son and I begin this journey together…starting with taking a leap of faith and joining a local run club, to running miles weekly with various run clubs and on our own together, to now running a total of 12 races this past year, and currently training for my first full marathon and first half marathon!!! It has been a joy to encourage and inspire others along the way, empowering heart-healthy habits not only within myself, but my son, my friends, and my family!!! I love life, spending time with my family, dog and friends..and value the blessing of movement daily!
It all started with just one 5K, which has led to many more races. Currently working on getting out of my comfort zone with some trail races. Let’s join the movement! I’ll see you at the finish line in Irving.
I ran in high school and college, and running has been a big blessing to my life. I thank God for giving me the ability to run and for being able to share it with my family and the community!!
I am 38 years old and a single mom to a high school senior. I started running 15 years ago. Life happened, impacting my health and ability to run. I've been gaining my health back and running again full force. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, and English fluently.
My name is Eofrosina Puebla, and I am a dedicated runner, student, and mother of two. I have completed multiple races, including half marathons and a full marathon, and I am currently training for future events while balancing school and family life. Fitness and running have become not only a passion but also a way to build discipline, resilience, and community. I am actively involved in the Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where I attend events and connect with local leaders, families, and businesses. My goal is to inspire others—especially within my community—to pursue healthier lifestyles, set ambitious goals, and believe in the power of perseverance. Whether in the gym, at school, or in my community, I strive to be a positive example of balance, faith, and commitment.
I started running in 2014 to train for my first 5k and to lose weight. Since that time, I have done what I needed to do to live an active lifestyle. I’ve been fortunate to have run over 100 half marathons and over 20 marathons and ultras in that short amount of time. I enjoy giving back to the running community by volunteering and helping runners achieve their goals as a pacer.
I’m passionate about running for the love of movement. When the natural Vitamin D hits my skin, I feel the burst of energy flowing through my body, which calms me mentally and ignites my muscles. I’ve grown up in Irving, so to see a great organization bring races to my backyard is heartwarming! My love to help people in fitness as a coach and nutritionist comes as second nature to me. I have two beautiful kids, one functioning kidney, and a heart that beats for running. I love seeing others create their own journey through running/fitness. Humbled and honored to be an ambassador!
When I was growing up, I never had any interest in sports. I had always been told that I was just unathletic and uncoordinated, and I should focus on academics. I never wanted to try anything I wasn’t naturally good at, so I stayed as far away from sports as I could. This all changed when I got very sick in 2018. After two years of debilitating symptoms, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2020. I was lucky to find a medication that got me into remission eventually, and once I started feeling better, I wanted to take advantage of my physical health and strength for the first time in my life. I had a pair of old sneakers in my closet, and I went for my first run in October 2022. I ran my first ever race with the IMRS at Oktoberfest in 2023, and I was hooked! I’ve since started a running club in Denton to share my love of running with others, run two marathons (with another one on the calendar), and built a growing following on my running-focused TikTok where I share my training, my goals, and the struggles of being a runner with chronic illness. I also fundraise for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to aid in the development of a cure and raise awareness!
I first got into running during Covid as a way to improve my health. I very quickly fell in love with it even though it was a struggle at first.
I travel for work, so I’m often on the go. I got into running with some obstacle course races in 2019, then hit the pavement with my first half marathon in February 2020. I love a good themed event and dressing accordingly, and a banging dance party before a race.
I used to hate running. I started running in 2018/2019. As a fitness coach, I like to lead by example. My goal was to run a marathon, so I trained by running a race every month that year. Showing that "one person” watching that if I can do it, so can you. I was that person before, and I still am, always striving to grow and help others.
The OGs
I started running in 2012, mostly on the treadmill at first, as a way to become more active. I later decided to complete a half marathon, which led to the decision to do full and ultra-marathons. I enjoy encouraging others to become active through what I call “sexy pace”, which is any pace that allows you to be social and have fun.
ALFONZO
Alfonzo has been involved in the local running community for many years. Alfonzo was the 10k overall winner at the inaugural Irving Marathon in 2013. He has over 100+ races under his belt, completed 4 Boston Marathons, and coaches locally. He assisted Logan Sherman in pacing the majority of the women in the Chevron Houston Marathon Athlete Development Program “B” standard for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the marathon, 2 weeks later ran the SAGU Half Marathon and also paced the 3:10 group at the Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth.
JAVIER

He is looking to run the Irving Marathon in under 2:50. He paced the 3:30 Irving Marathon in 2019 right after he got 3rd place in a 65k trail race and qualified to run the Leadville 100 mile trail race in 2020.
