Irving Marathon draws runners from across the country

More than 1,500 motivated athletes competed in the 2014 Irving Marathon on Saturday, April 5, in Las Colinas.

The race began outside of Irving’s newly built convention center, and runners were able to participate in the 5k race, 10k race, half marathon (13.1 miles) or full marathon (26.2 miles).

In addition to building a local running circuit, the race aimed to raise money for the Our Children’s House at Baylor-Irving Foundation and Irving Healthcare Foundation...
